Task 2: Suppose Poems

Read the following "Suppose" Poems and pay particular attention to the rhythm and rhyming pattern.

Suppose the clock refused to tick.
Suppose the clown would do no trick.
Suppose the night was never dark.
Suppose your car would never park.
Suppose that ants were big as whales.
Suppose that people all had tails.
Suppose that children did not pout.
Suppose you never had a doubt.
                       Suppose you never tasted stew.
Suppose there never was a you!
                                              (Joseph Arango, Kent, Ohio)

Suppose the world cracked right in two.
Suppose your goldfish cought the flu!
Suppose the sun forgot to rise
Or bakers just made wooden pies!
                       Suppose that birds flew upside-down
Or Corn Flakes covered up a town!
                       Suppose that elephants were pink
Or you had to sleep in the kitchen sink.
                       Suppose that pretzels wouldn't bend.
                       Suppose, suppose, suppose, my friend.
Just write it down, it's just pretend.
                                              RCS Chula Vista, California

Suppose the grass refused to grow,
Or all the rivers reversed their flow.
                       Etc., etc.

Your task for this project is to make up your own "Suppose" poem of at least  10-lines.  Do not use any of the lines from the above poems, but be sure each line has 8 syllables.
