Task 11: Fairy Tales

A fairy tale is not necessarily a tale about fairies; it may deal with nonsense.  But always the fairy tale deals with magic.  The magic may be personified by fairies, elves, or pixies, gnomes, dwarfs, giants, trolls, brownies, dragons, or talking animals.

Some suggested elements to include in a fairy tale:

          1. Fairy tales have an elemental theme and the images of magic.

          2. In a fairy tale, one knows where to place his sympathy (knows the good guys from
             the bad guys).

          3. Everyone acts according to his nature.

          4. Usually a fairy tale takes place in a "never-never land" where supernatural events
             occur.

          5. The stories move with action to an end where the good comes to glory and joy.

          6. Everyone lives happily ever after.

Think about Peter Pan, Cinderella, and all the tales of Narnia (The Lion, the Witch, and the
Wardrobe)....

Your task is to write a story of at least 2 pages which contains all or most of the elements of a good fairy tale as listed above.  The assignment will almost certainly take more than one sitting to complete so be sure you save all that you write at the first sitting.  Be sure to correct all your punctuation, spelling, and grammatical errors before turning it in as it may be hung up for others to read.

Take your time, and have fun with this assignment
