Poem #35 A Confused Heap of Facts

she followed him history,
the pageant of true poetry
the essence of the innumerable
dust-heaps of  biographies
earnest persons under lies distinct
earliest expressions expensive:
an inarticulate state of words
a confused heap of facts
lost in the learned examples
teachers of the world error
cynical memories of renewed comparison
to for past miseries
dignity a strange lady
